Many homes in Hornbrook will have their water supply return today.  As you can imagine, with the wooden structure of the main water tank roof being burned off in the fire, charred debris, dirt, dust, ash and other unknown material dropped into the town’s water supply.  The main tank has been cleaned and is being filled with non-potable water to allow us to flush and test the water system quickly, and for homes to have water for sanitation (toilets, washing, bathing), and fire protection.  A DO NOT DRINK ORDER remains in effect, and we strongly recommend that you follow this notice carefully.

We are working on solutions to make the water potable (drinkable) which may include temporary pipes, using only one tank, and tank covers.  Stay tuned to this website for more information.
