Hornbrook Community Services District

We are currently pumping river water into the Hornbrook water system, to keep the system pressurized for sanitation and firefighting.  Because we are using surface water without filtration or other treatment processes, the state is requiring that we ask that you avoid bathing or showering in the water until further notice.  Please see the revised Unsafe Water Alert Notice:

We are sad to announce that one of our two remaining wells has failed, and cannot be fixed until at least Monday.  A contractor will be on site Monday to pull the well pump and replace the piping and/or the pump.  Once this well is back online, we will still be very short on water supply until the burned well is repaired, which could be four days to a week.  Meanwhile, conserve as much water as you can.
